Voyager #7

this week we invite the DJ / Dancer extraordinaire and close friend, Kalashnik, to board the craft so tune in for some spicy dance floor waves

born in Moldova, based in Copenhagen, Kalashnik is a resident DJ at Parallel and FEUM, frequenting festivals, clubs and raves in Denmark & Moldova. When he’s not behind the decks, he’s throwing shapes on the dance floor, most recently performing in the Broadway production “Burn The Floor”

today he shares 10 tracks from groovy minimal through acid laced trip-tech, moving on to a healthy dose of breakbeat variations (who doesn’t like a bit of breakbeat nowadays ), and ending on a laid-back house track from the land of Moldova

When he’s not at the party dropping those four-to-the-floor rollers, he’s behind the scenes dealing with technical issues or he’s on the look out for artists to bring to little old Aarhus

Behind the decks he’s usually creating the party vibe with his extensive techno and tech-house collection and today he’s not letting up on that front!

He shares 10 timeless tech-house oldies, giving the middle finger to today’s stigma of the genre and showing its true solid roots in sonic groovin’ pleasure

Usually she’s behind the scenes whipping up graphic designs as cool as her name, today Ferni shares with us 10 tracks that flow through her when forming those iconic FEUM designs.

Hailing from the beautiful land of Romania, she’s packed this one full of that dynamic and energetic eastern european sound.

From start to end, swimming in intensity and colour, much like her designs, we drift through a current of warm euphoric delays while submerged in a sea of mystic romanian minimal. this playlist really is something to sink into.

Up this week on the voyager is a man with many names.. some call him princess, defender of the membrane. others call him richard, the resonance battler. some know him simply as newman or mc kiełbasa.

To the locals he goes by the name pan bonka for when he’s spinning wavs & wax, or sashka the sound man when he’s sorting out our spicy sound system

But today he goes by the name - Alex (quite boring really, it’s just his name, he says)

And for this weeks tracklisting, he shares 10 from his sparse collection with sounds from frantic flutes to folklore fusion.

This condensed mini mix takes us through 2021 in reverse, from anxious excitement to solitary reflection while passing through all those fleeting & fluctuating emotions of the year.
