Conceived through two live acts recorded in June 2020, performance takes form of a lively and intense artistic work which plunges individuals into unusual and endless feelings.

A moment punctuated by a current of deep hypnotic modular synth-biosis taking the audience on an unknown, unpredictable and unprecedented journey.

SUMMER 2020, lockdown.

Online music community is making live streams but FEUM is craving for a more intimate way and a more in-depth approach to connecting to their people…

FEUM brings together artists and creative collaborators to create a production that takes place with the participation of the public, to orchestrate a recording in a particular atmosphere and to hear the artists talk about how this very addictive music is made.

Music that is influenced by the crowd, by conditions, by the environment, by the time of day and the passion that comes from the inner desire to create a piece that is one outcome of many inputs influenced by these special conditions.

When you play music together like this it becomes obvious what should happen, there is no need to talk. And when a mind exists in multiple spaces at the same time it learns to develop intelligent unconscious automations to keep all its systems in check.

Man blends with machine. Artists take turn tapping into the same rhythm with a new sound, variating and going crazy. This is the story of "Modular Symbiosis".

It looks like a lot of complicated things are going on when you look at all the modules lined up but the performance is improvised on the surface.

Sounds from the machines need to change very fast, filters can shape the sound, modulation makes the sound go one way or another. There is no menus on the machines, so it's about taking chances and knowing the gear in a way, then idea comes and you are able to be tactile and intuitively relay it to sequencer and into the sound.
